Annual Biomedical Engineering Student Project Competition

Award Categories:

Vicon Prize for Best Medical Engineering Project (£500)
The competition is open to recent graduates (2013), third/fourth year undergraduates and taught Masters degree course students, who have completed or are working on a medical engineering project. Those who graduated in 2013 and those graduating in 2014 and 2015 are eligible to enter. Runners-up will receive £50 book tokens.

MediMaton Prize for Best Medical Engineering Recent PhD Thesis (£500)
This competition is open to those who passed their PhD in the field of Medical Engineering between 2012 and 2014. Runners-up will receive £50 book tokens.

Prize for Best Undergraduate Poster Presentation (£250 book token)
Separate entry for the poster prizes is not required if you are submitting an abstract for the Vicon prize. You can also submit your project to be presented as a poster only.

The competition is open to those who passed their PhD in the field of Medical Engineering between 2012 and 2014.

 

HOW TO APPLY
To enter the competition, you need to submit an abstract of your project with a completed application form, which can be requested from biomedical@imeche.org.

Abstracts should be no longer than one A4 page including illustrations (three pages for PhD projects).  Please read the separate Submission Guidelines document before submitting your entry, as abstracts which do not follow the guidelines will be rejected.  Entrants must be available to present their project or poster at the competition finals on Thursday 27 February 2014.

Closing date for submissions is 31 January 2014.
