Create a medical device. Change the world.
UCL’s Medical Device Innovation is unique in aiming to be student driven through a Doctoral Training Programme (DTP), where you will create your own medical device. We aim for all DTP graduates to walk into their PhD viva examination able to exhibit a device they have created.
This four year programme comprises an MRes that combines an introductory medical device research project with education in translational techniques, enterprise and entrepreneurship, leading into three years of PhD research where you will develop your device.
We have ten studentships (fees and stipend), including six NIHR Biomedical Research Centre funded places, available on this programme for UK/EU students starting in September 2014.
